The Ones Who Sang

Born and raised in Colorado, Christiana “Yana” Fanaro has been making art since she was a child. 

“These small works trace a quiet movement through memory. They are fragments of a complicated, lonesome childhood where closeness and distance lived side by side. Each piece holds a moment once felt fully, then partially lost, softened, or left behind. There is companionship here and also its absence; a reaching outward, and a gradual turning away. What remains is not a clear story, but a series of impressions. They are tender, unsettled, and unresolved. This holds a space where beauty is met with hesitation, and even the gentlest things cannot always be held.”
